The
only acces to the Verdon in this part of the river is by water
way.
The
start and the arrival are on he same point, at the en of the
" Grand Canyon " on the Saint-Croix lake.
The
journey is 8 km long return, when the water level is the highest
(in june and july).The distance is getting shorter the following
months.
The best time to visit is the morning from 9 a.m (sunny, not
windy, not crowded).
The tour is divided in 4 stages :
1/. To the "Cascade" : 1 hour return (3 km return)
2/
To the birth of the lake : 2 hours return (6 km return)

1 hour more for bath and pic-nic -
3/
In the river’s bed : 3 hours return (8 km return)
-
1 hour more for bath and pic-nic -
4/
Walking in the river’s bed to the point " défilé
of the Rouvière" (one hour more - 1 km return).
